12 Mon Researching Rebetiko
 Mr Ed Emery of the London-based Institute of Rebetology will give a talk in English about the present state of research into Rebetiko, and will illustrate the work of the annual Hydra Rebetiko Gathering. The lecture will close with moosootoo singing a variety of rebetiko songs.Organised by the Hellenic Centre, the London-based Institute of Rebetology and moosootoo.com Free entry 7.30 pm. An exhibition and auction of paintings by Members and Friends of the Hellenic Centre 7.00 – 9.00 pm. Organised by the Fundraising Committee of the Centre. Mrs Fotini Papadopoulou, wife of the President of Cyprus Mr Tassos Papadopoulos, will open the exhibition. Proceeds from the sales of paintings in aid of the Hellenic Centre.
