Broad Beans boiled
(Koukia me lahana)
  • 1lb fresh broad beans
  • 4 hearts of artichokes
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice



  1. Put the broad beans and the artichokes in a saucepan and bring to boil.
  2. Simmer for 20 minutes or until beans and artichokes are cooked. Add salt 5 minutes before the end.
  3. Drain and serve with olive oil and lemon.
