Skordhalia  - Garlic Dip  
  • 3 walnuts
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • handful of soaked and drained bread
  • olive oil, approx 1 coffee cup
  • vinegar
  • salt

  1. Remove the skin from the walnuts by soaking them in boiling water for a few minutes.
  2. Crush the walnuts and garlic until it makes a paste or use a food processor.
  3. Add the soaked bread and salt and continue beating the mixture.
  4. Gradually add the oil until the mixture becomes a thick sauce.
  5. Add some vinegar to taste.
