Our web portal provides information on Greek affairs, business and organisations in the United Kingdom. It aims at developing and maintaining reference as well as business information, which would be of interest to the public in general but also to individuals with special interests in Hellenic affairs.

There are over 7 million overseas Greeks forming a number of communities in the USA, Australia, Canada, Britain, South Africa and many other countries. Amongst them the Greek Community in the United Kingdom is involved with a vast variety of activities and business.
The Business profiles section provides links to a number of Companies, while the Business links page lists a number of business directories which could be of use to many business people.

In Britain there are over  two hundred Greek Organisations; the majority formed by Greek Cypriots. These are mainly non-profit Associations with strong origin, social and cultural links.

The Greek Orthodox Church performs a central role which has an impact on people of Greek origin, at some stage. Apart from the obvious religious activities the Orthodox Church in Britain also runs a number of part time schools for Greek origin children of ages between 4 and 18 years. Similar part time schools are managed by other voluntary bodies (e.g. The Independent Schools). Hence the Greek Education in Britain and other countries with Greek immigrants mainly depends on the voluntary work of  the Church and other Independent organisations.
