Mrs Nasa Patapiou, Embassy of Cyprus and 'House of Cyprus', Athens. The
lecture, based on the unpublished autograph manuscript of Leonardo Doná,
preserved in the Museo Civico Correr in Venice, will present his
experience and reflections on Cyprus. Part of the Series of Lectures on

|11||Thu||Reflections on the Psychological Implications of Recent Political Events in Cyprus, by Dr Catia Galatopoulou (British Institute of Psychoanalysis, London ( 6.30pm Hellenic Centre. The purpose of this lecture is to reflect on the impact that the political, social and economic facts of the history of Cyprus from the mid-1950s have had on the psychological make-up of the people of Cyprus. |13||Sat||Greek Orthodox Ecclesiastical Music A recital with the "Kalofonades" Byzantine Choir from Athens. Leader Giorgos Remoundos. The choir will perform hymns of the Nativity and selected hymns by prominent Byzantine masters. Venue: Great Hall, Hellenic Centre.|
Competition - 'Olympic Games - Athens 2004' Organised by the Hellenic
Centre to celebrate the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games.
Open to 4-8, 9-14 and 15-18 year olds. Individuals can participate with one entry only whereas educational institutions with up to ten entries. The deadline for the submission of work is Friday 19 December 2003. Prizes include tickets to theme parks, IMAX Cinema, shop vouchers and many more. All contestants will receive a certificate of participation.
The pictures will be on display in the Great Hall of The Hellenic Centre from Friday 23 January to Sunday 25 January 2004. The exhibition will be accompanied by various activities (Karagiozis performances, Magicians, Face-Painting, Balloons etc).
