7 Wed Wednesday 7 September to Tuesday 27 September - Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1st London Design Biennale An exciting new platform to showcase the world’s leading contemporary design. The Greek entry will be represented by the marble atelier on·entropy, the EMMY awarded lighting designer Eleftheria Deko and the designer Domnika Gregoriades. Their proposal investigates the cultural landscape by mapping historic movements of populations and marble. Further information at www.londondesignbiennale.com

Through the lens of his camera, Andreas Theologitis captures the detail of these boats as they are born, live and pass away. Meet the artist: Thursday 8 September, 6.30pm-8.30pm. A talk in English by Dr Marios Kyriazis, gerontologist on unusual (but firmly scientific) methods of improving healthy lifespan, avoiding age-related disease and staying young for many years. The speaker will present the latest research about life extension, discuss little known facts, and provide unconventional advice which most people have not yet heard of. 29 Thu Thursday 29 September, 7.15pm - The Hellenic Centre The Sound of 3 Generations: Skyllas - Koumendakis - Cage The composer Dimitrios Skyllas will perform his piano work for the first time in relation to the music of Giorgos Koumendakis and John Cage. Skyllas has being described as a groundbreaking young composer and his pieces have been presented in numerous important venues including the Westminster Abbey, the V&A, the Royal Albert Hall, the Onassis Cultural Centre and the Athens Megaron.
